We are excited to announce that the construction for the new all-inclusive playground will start by the end of July. We are so pleased to have the opportunity to enhance the recreation activities for our community and this playground will be one of the most advanced recreation areas in the area. This new addition to our Parks Program will provide our community with a safe place where children of all abilities can play together and are developmentally appropriate for children with and without disabilities. The township received $425,000 in grants from Delco Greenways Grant Program, Department of Conservations & Natural Resources, Greenways trails & Recreation Program, along with donations from Broomall Rotary Club and Marple Township Parks and Recreation Fund. We know our residents will enjoy using this space and we look forward to seeing children of all abilities and all ages playing here together. Unfortunately, during this new initiative, we must close the existing playground so that our contractors can prepare the new site and begin construction of the new park area. The good news is we are optimistic the new playground will be completed by November of this year.
