Marple Township’s Finance Department provides many critical functions on a day to day basis in order to ensure the books and records are managed according to legislation, policies and procedures, and accounting principles.

Department of Code Enforcement
The Code Enforcement Department shall include the receipt of applications, the issuance of permits, notices, certificates and orders, the making of inspections to determine conformance with applicable codes and ordinances, review building, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, fire and grading permits and make appropriate inspections.
Inspect properties for resale for sidewalks, driveway aprons, curbing, handicapped ramps, trash, debris and house numbers. Inspect rental apartments for Use and Occupancy.
Department of Public Works
The Public Works Department is on call 24 hours a day year round so handle any emergency. Our divisions also have a vigorous preventive maintenance program to make sure our facilities are in good working order.
A partial list of our responsibilities include: Road Maintenance, Sanitary Sewer Maintenance,Storm Sewer Maintenance Sign Maintenance, Street and Traffic Lights Maintenance, Park Maintenance Street Cleaning, Snow Removal and Salting.
Township tax bills are mailed by Feb 1st of each year and are due on the following dates:
Discount 2% - Feb 1st - March 31st
Face amount - April 1st - May 31st
Penalty 10% - June 1st - Dec 31st
